Chambers welcomes experienced crime, regulatory & immigration specialist as a new member

We are incredibly pleased to announce that Christian Jowett, a barrister with a highly regarded practice in crime and regulatory as well as administrative law, has joined 30 Park Place.

Christian was called to the Bar in 1999 and has built an extensive practice focusing on core specialisms in fraud and regulatory law in addition to his experience across all aspects of immigration and asylum law (Christian is listed on the Treasury Solicitors panel). He joins us from 9 Park Place in Cardiff.

On taking tenancy at 30 Park Place, Christian said: "I've had a very warm welcome at 30 Park Place and am greatly looking forward to further developing my practice in these progressive and dynamic chambers"

Appointments

Christian was appointed to the List of Special Regulatory Advocates in Health and Safety and Environmental Law (B Panel) in 2012 and is a longstanding Grade 4 Prosecutor. He is a member of the Proceeds of Crime Lawyers Association and the UK Environmental Law Association, and is a member of the sub-committee of its Wales Working Party.
He was appointed to the Attorney General’s Panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown (Regional Panel) in 2007 and re-appointed in 2010; he regularly advises and represents the Secretary of State. He is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association.
Christian was appointed a Deputy District Judge (Civil) on the Wales and Chester Circuit in 2010 and joined 30 Park Place on 7 September 2015.
