Andrew Jones and Ffion Tomos successful in hitman prosecution.

August 11 2020

Colin Jones, the head of an Organised Crime Group based in Liverpool, has been convicted of a conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent after a four day trial in Mold.  The intended victim had previously been a trusted lieutenant in the drugs group but had fallen out over allegations of stealing drugs.  The Defendant hired a hitman to cause serious injury and this was only prevented due to the police disrupting the plan and serving a Threat to Life Notice on the intended victim.

Colin Jones and 17 others are due to be sentenced next month. He had already pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs valued at over £2 million pounds.
