After an exceptional career spanning more than four decades, Lloyd Williams KC has retired from practice, bringing to a close one of the most distinguished careers at the Welsh Bar.

Called to the Bar in 1981 and appointed King’s Counsel in 2006, Lloyd has been a member of 30 Park Place throughout his entire professional life. Over 45 years in practice, he has earned a reputation as one of the most experienced and respected Silks in Wales, particularly renowned for his work in complex personal injury, clinical negligence, police actions and public inquiries.

Lloyd’s practice has focused primarily on catastrophic injury litigation involving brain and spinal trauma, often acting for protected parties and vulnerable clients. His approach has always been firmly rooted in excellent client care: building trust, providing clarity, and ensuring that seriously injured clients and their families feel fully supported at every stage of the process.

In addition to his advocacy, Lloyd played a significant leadership role within chambers, serving as Head of the Civil Team for a substantial period of his career and helping to shape and strengthen the team over many years.

Lloyd’s retirement marks the end of an era at 30 Park Place. He leaves behind an outstanding professional legacy and a lasting influence on colleagues and clients alike. Chambers extends its sincere thanks to Lloyd for his exceptional service and wishes him every happiness in his retirement.
