30 Park Place - Barristers Chambers
Background

Public Access

Anyone can now go directly to a barrister without having to involve anyone else (e.g. a solicitor). The barrister’s role remains essentially the same as when they are approached by a solicitor or another intermediary. Barristers can advise you on your legal status or rights. Barristers can draft documents for you and can represent you in court, tribunals, arbitration or mediation. Barristers can also negotiate on your behalf and can attend employment or disciplinary  interviews and hearings where appropriate.

Barristers only provide legal advice, drafting and advocacy services and are unable to conduct litigation (e.g. file documents at court, hold client money and be served with proceedings). This means there are still some cases and situations in which you may need to instruct a solicitor or another intermediary as well as a barrister. If this is the case we will advise you. However, for many cases the public access scheme allows you to go directly to the expert barrister for legal advice, drafting and advocacy services.

To enquire about the availability and expertise of a barrister to suit your requirements please fill in the form below.

Please note that at present we are not accepting family cases (children or finances) on a direct access basis.

Alternatively, please download a form here, this will need to be filled out in full then emailed to clerks@30parkplace.co.uk

We will use our best endeavours to reply to you within 24 hours.
