  • R v AA – Acquittal in a case of rape. Issue of withdrawal of consent.
  • R v Gauci – Led Junior, 6-handed trial before the Honourable Justice Griffiths. D charged with violent disorder linked to murder.
  • Operation Silver – Instructed as junior counsel in Class A drug conspiracy. Operation Silver was the largest enforcement operation in Gwent Police’s recent history.
  • R v X – Represented a 15-year-old defendant charged with stranger rape in Cardiff.
  • R v ND – Obtained a not guilty verdict in case of sexual abuse. Complex forensic evidence issues regarding secondary transfer.
  • R v Y – Represented a 17-year-old charged with riot following the Ely riots in 2023.
  • R v FB – Appeal against sentence. Drafted grounds of appeal in successful appeal against sentence in a case of Class B drug trafficking.
  • R v McCann [2024] EWCA Crim 1801 – Appeal against sentence. Successfully argued that sentences imposed for public order matters were manifestly excessive, particularly in relation to the application of the section 66 Sentencing Act 2020 uplift.
  • R v Baldwin [2023] EWCA Crim 1475 – Appeal against conviction. The case involved issues around proceeding in a defendant’s absence.
  • R v Francis [2022] – Appeal against sentence. Successfully argued that a sentence imposed for dwelling burglary was manifestly excessive.
  • R v Jex & Others [2021] EWCA Crim 1708 – Led by Louis Mably KC in appeal providing guidance on the application of section 133 of the Magistrates’ Courts Act 1980 regarding concurrent and consecutive sentences.
