Tabitha Walker is a specialist criminal practitioner.

She prosecutes and defends cases ranging from serious violence to sexual assault matters. Tabitha is a CPS grade 3 prosecutor and has recently joined the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences panel. She is a diligent and hardworking barrister who strives to get the best results for those she represents.

Tabitha joined Chambers as a tenant in June 2022 following pupillage and subsequent employment at the Crown Prosecution Service.

Tabitha read law at the University of Plymouth before attending Cardiff University for both the Bar Professional Training Course and her master’s degree.

Outside of work, Tabitha enjoys going to the theatre, as well as singing and supporting Bath Rugby. She is also one of the co-chairs for Women in Criminal Law (Wales Division).

Expertise

Tabitha has extensive experience prosecuting and defending in cases of a serious nature. This includes serious violence, sexual offences, drugs offences, domestic violence and proceeds of crime. In her defence work Tabitha has represented a wide range of clients, including young people and vulnerable adults.

  • Operation Leslie [2025] – Prosecution junior to Nigel Fryer in conspiracy to supply class B drugs.
  • R v Brook [2025] – Appeal against sentence in the court of appeal. Tabitha successfully argued that the sentence for two counts of possession with intent to supply was manifestly excessive.
  • R v Nichols-Oakes [2024] – Tabitha represented a vulnerable defendant who had been found unfit, charged with prohibited images.
