Solomon Hartley is an experienced criminal barrister and former military legal advisor.
Previously a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy, Sol brings a disciplined, detail-driven approach to every case.
Before returning to 30 Park Place, he served as both prosecutor and defence counsel in the Court Martial system, while also advising senior military leadership on operational and strategic legal matters.
Sol now acts across the full spectrum of criminal law, regularly instructed in serious and complex cases. He has defended individuals charged with offences including drugs conspiracies, armed robbery, and rape, and is equally proficient in prosecution work. He is appointed to the CPS Level 3 General Crime and RASSO panels and has completed specialist training in handling cases involving vulnerable witnesses and serious sexual offences.
