Paul Hartley-Davies is a highly experienced family law specialist with a practice spanning more than four decades. He has been a member of chambers since 1984 and is a well-established figure within the Family Team at 30 Park Place.

Paul’s expertise lies in public and private law proceedings under the Children Act. He is regularly instructed by local authorities, parents, extended family members, and children’s guardians, and is known for his calm, assured handling of complex and sensitive cases. His past work has included serious matters involving shaken baby syndrome and deliberate salt poisoning.

Paul is particularly respected for his ability to represent the interests of children in public law matters, drawing on his deep understanding of child protection and welfare.

He was called to the Bar in 1977 and appointed a Recorder in 2002. He is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and is a graduate of the University of Wales. Outside of court, Paul enjoys travel and photography.
