Michelle Withers is a senior member of the Family Law team, with a practice focused on complex public and private law children proceedings. She joined 30 Park Place in 2009 and is instructed regularly to represent local authorities, parents and children’s guardians in cases involving serious welfare concerns.

Michelle is known for her calm, thorough and client-focused approach to sensitive proceedings. She is particularly experienced in cases involving allegations of neglect, domestic abuse, and non-accidental injury, as well as long-running disputes over contact and residence.

Her specialist expertise includes applications for the permanent or temporary removal of children from the jurisdiction, both to Hague Convention and non-Hague Convention countries. She has considerable expertise in dealing with international elements in children cases, including urgent injunctions and complex evidence.

Michelle also accepts instructions in financial remedies proceedings following relationship breakdown. Her ability to manage emotionally challenging issues with clarity and care makes her a trusted advocate in family courts across Wales.
