Katy Morgan is a committed and experienced family law barrister. She has a strong practice across both public and private law children proceedings, representing local authorities, parents, guardians and extended family members at all stages of proceedings.

Katy is known for her accessible, client-focused approach. Whether acting for a local authority or on behalf of a vulnerable parent, she is trusted for her ability to offer realistic, sensitive advice while ensuring her client’s case is clearly and robustly presented. She has acted through the Official Solicitor in cases where clients lack capacity, and has experience in matters involving serious allegations, including non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, and chronic neglect.

In private law, Katy represents parents, extended family members and Rule 16.4 Guardians in cases involving parental alienation, implacable hostility and alleged sexual abuse. Her cases often include international elements or immigration-related considerations, and she is well-regarded for her attention to detail and calm presence in emotionally charged proceedings.

Katy maintains excellent working relationships with those who instruct her. She is mindful of the pressures faced by solicitors and provides timely, useful feedback at each stage, which has contributed to her growing and repeat practice.
