Hannah Meredith-Jones’s practice spans the Court of Protection, family law (private), personal injury and crime.
She is particularly interested in matters involving mental capacity and vulnerable individuals, drawing on her academic background in medical ethics and law, which she studied at Master’s level at King’s College London while completing the Bar Transfer Test.
Hannah joined 30 Park Place in 2023, following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Rebecca Harrington and Rhys Evans. She brings over a decade of legal experience to her practice, having qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and worked across a wide range of disciplines before transferring to the Bar.
Hannah worked as a solicitor in both commercial and general practice firms, including roles in insurance litigation, crime, family, and civil work. This breadth of experience gives her a strong understanding of how cases are run from the client’s perspective, and what instructing solicitors value in their counsel.
Hannah is known for her careful preparation, collaborative approach, and her ability to communicate clearly with clients and professionals alike. She is building a practice rooted in empathy, insight and practical advocacy, with a particular interest in work that sits at the intersection of health, education and family rights.
Hannah acts in Court of Protection matters concerning capacity, welfare, and deprivation of liberty. Her academic background in medical ethics and law supports a thoughtful, rights-based approach. She is particularly attuned to the needs of vulnerable adults and brings clarity and care to complex, sensitive decision-making cases.
Hannah represents clients in private family proceedings, including child arrangements and disputes involving welfare concerns. Her previous experience in family law as a solicitor informs her practical, client-focused advocacy. She is especially mindful of the emotional demands of proceedings and offers a calm, clear presence throughout.
Hannah advises and represents clients across a range of civil matters, with particular expertise in personal injury claims involving physical and psychological harm. She is regularly instructed by both Claimants and Defendants, including in credit hire and repair claims, and also acts for local and housing authorities in injunctions, breaches and regulatory offences. Her earlier experience in insurance litigation gives her a strong practical understanding of case progression and evidential issues.
