Emma Meadows joined Chambers as a tenant in 2025, following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Claire Williams (Family & Child Care) and Daniel Jones (Crime).
Emma accepts instructions across all of Chambers’ practice areas.
Emma has a busy civil practice and takes instructions for both claimants and defendants in small claims trials, credit hire matters, Stage 3 hearings, infant approval hearings, and application hearings concerning road traffic accidents, personal injury and contractual disputes.
Emma has a keen interest in family law and regularly accepts instructions in private law matters including non-molestation order, occupation order and child arrangement order hearings, and in care proceedings.
Emma is regularly instructed on asylum and immigration appeals in the First-Tier Immigration Tribunal.
Emma is regularly instructed by both the prosecution and defence in a wide range of matters in both the Crown Court and the Magistrates’ Court.
Emma graduated from Cardiff University in 2018 having studied her LLB Law and achieving a First Class degree, before going on to achieve a Distinction in her LLM Governance and Devolution from Cardiff University, graduating in 2020. Emma studied the Bar at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy and was called to the Bar by Inner Temple in 2022. Emma was awarded a Masters Excellence Scholarship by Cardiff University and a Major Scholarship by Inner Temple in order to undertake the Bar. Emma was awarded the ICLR Pupillage Award in 2024.
Prior to starting pupillage, Emma was the Public Law Caseworker at Advocate and was responsible for a large caseload across all public law, personal injury and clinical negligence and defamation matters. Emma also worked as a Homelessness Paralegal at Lawstop, challenging local authorities by way of Judicial Review, and as a Business Support and Team Assistant at XBundle, providing litigation support and bundling services in high-profile commercial matters.
Emma is committed to pro bono and completed Advocate’s Pupil Pledge during her pupillage.
