He has experience acting for vulnerable clients and has appeared on behalf of children in both the Crown Court and the Youth Court. Charles has been complimented by circuit judges in the Crown Court for “advocacy of the highest standard” and for conducting a case “impeccably”.

Charles has acted in a variety of contractual disputes. This has included consumer rights claims, breaches of contract and sale of goods and supply of services claims. Charles undertakes instructions in property and chancery matters. His experience includes acting for both landlords (including social landlords) and tenants in trespass, possession proceedings, disrepair claims and anti-social behaviour injunctions.

Charles has acted in fast track trials in personal injury cases on behalf of claimants and defendants. Charles’ cases have included those arising from road traffic accidents, Employers’ Liability and Public Liability and product liability claims.
