Alice Sykes is a criminal law barrister, with a busy practice acting for both the prosecution and the defence in the Crown Court. She is a Level 2 prosecutor and accepts instructions across the full range of criminal matters.
Alice joined 30 Park Place as a tenant in 2023, following a successful pupillage under the supervision of Nigel Fryer and Andrew Jones KC
Previously, Alice worked as a criminal paralegal at Roger James, Clements and Partners Solicitors in Newport. This hands-on experience gave her a solid grounding in the practical realities of criminal litigation, which continues to inform her approach as an advocate.
Alice studied for her law degree with the Open University while working, graduating with a 2:1 in 2017. She completed the Bar Training Course in 2020 with a grade of Very Competent.
She is known for her thorough preparation and approachable manner with both lay and professional clients.
