Police Actions

Members of the team regularly represent both claimants and defendants in all types of litigation involving the police including, but not limited to, claims for false imprisonment, assault, malicious prosecution and misfeasance in a public office as well as conducting police disciplinary cases and Coroners Inquests in regard to death in custody. The team has conducted numerous civil jury trials. The team has represented all of the local police forces but is willing to travel nationwide. Conditional fee agreements will be considered in appropriate cases.
 

Prison Law

Chambers offers representation of prisoners throughout England and Wales at oral hearings before the Parole Board, varying from mandatory lifers, discretionary lifers, indeterminate sentence prisoners, extended sentence prisoners to recall hearings. Specialist advice and representation is available in judicial review and other matters affecting prisoner’s rights including civil actions for false imprisonment and breach of Article 5(1) and 5(4) of the European Convention on Human Rights.
