Practice Overview

After becoming a tenant in 2006 Oliver has swiftly developed a substantial practice in personal injury and chancery/commercial and regularly conducts trials in both the Fast Track and Multi Track. He undertakes pre-issue advisory work, drafting, interlocutory applications, costs assessments and appeals. Oliver also has a busy practice in employment and regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal and the EAT. Recently he has been instructed on a multi track commercial contract trial arising out of a multi million pound property development.

Oliver has been noted for his ability to deal with complex and difficult cases in an expert and professional manner. He has established a reputation for his outstanding dedication to the interests of his lay clients and his natural talent for instilling their complete confidence in his ability which accounts for his consistent repeat instructions.

  • • Re: Cunningham [2007] Appearing as Counsel for the owners of a care home at an inquest where it was alleged that a 22-year old autistic man been forced to swallow a surgical glove
    • Re: Walker [2008] Appearing as Counsel for the driver of a vehicle at an inquest where a verdict of suicide was recorded after a pedestrian stepped into the motorway
    • LR v. Blaenau Gwent C.B.C. [2009] Constructive dismissal after allegations of an unfair promotion due to an extra-marital affair
