Practice Overview
After completing her pupillage with Ruth Henke QC and Marian Lewis in 2004-2005, Claire Williams accepted an offer of tenancy at Thirty Park Place. She has subsequently developed an extensive family law practice and undertakes a full range of family law work, including Child Care, Section 8 Residence/Contact, Injunctions, Ancillary Relief and Trusts/Cohabitees.
She has a specialist Children's Act practice which includes representing Local Authorities, parents and Children’s Guardians at a wide range of hearings including contested final hearings. Claire undertakes cases involving neglect, emotional abuse, physical abuse and sexual abuse. She regularly appears in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and has appeared in the High Court in her own right, and well as being junior counsel in several lengthy “shaken baby” cases and cases involving allegations of serious sexual abuse.
In addition, Claire undertakes a full range of Ancillary Relief and Trusts/Cohabitee cases.
Claire is also a fluent Welsh speaker and can conduct cases through the medium of Welsh.
