Practice Overview

Ben practices exclusively in Personal Injury Law.

He receives instructions in fast track and multi track claims from both claimants and defendants with half of his workload being on the multi track. Ben covers the full spectrum of PI cases including Employer’s Liability, Road Traffic, Public Liability, Industrial Disease, and Fatal Accidents in with some cases valued in excess of £500,000. He is frequently instructed in multi track claims involving complex issues and medical causation. In addition he attends Coroners Inquests and Detailed Assessments of Costs. Ben accepts work funded by CFA and also undertakes privately funded work from before and after the event insurers, local authorities and trade unions. A significant proportion of his practice is based upon repeat instructions from solicitors throughout the UK.

  • Re: Anthony Samuel - Ben acted for the family of the deceased in this 5 day Coroners Inquest into the death of a scaffolder during the construction of the SA1 development in Swansea Marina.
  • GI v Invacare - The claimant developed complex regional pain syndrome in his finger after hitting it with a mallet and obtained a settlement in excess of £100,00 applying Ogden VI
  • MF v Freemantle Media and Others - Ben represented the Claimant who sustained an injury during the Cardiff auditions for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’
  • PB v George Gwaith Taxis Ltd - Ben successfully negotiated a significant settlement for a Claimant who ran across the road into the path of an oncoming taxi and sustained multiple orthopaedic and brain injuries
