It’s the People that make the place…
Our distinct quality as a leading set of chambers is simply excellence.
Under the Beeching reform of the Circuits, Newport, which had been part of the Oxford Circuit was added to an expanded Wales & Chester Circuit. Judging that their future prospects would be enhanced by a move to Cardiff the chambers of Mr Charles Pitchford and the chambers of Mr David Glyn Morgan amalgamated and moved from Newport to 55 Park Place, Cardiff in September 1970. It proved a wise decision as since that time we have steadily grown into the largest set of chambers in South Wales with members regularly instructed in some of the most high profile and complex litigation in Wales and further afield.
In the constantly changing landscape of the provision of legal services we recognise the importance of working closely with solicitors and other professional organisations to ensure continued quality representation and advice throughout all stages of the litigation process. We are confident of being able to deliver a highly skilled and professional multi-disciplinary service at all levels of seniority across all aspects of Civil, Criminal and Family Law.
As a modern and progressive chambers we are proud of our reputation for the quality of our advocacy and written work, as well as our high standards of client care. We are also committed to delivering lectures and legal training across all areas of expertise to meet the needs of our instructing solicitors. We have an experienced team of clerks and administration staff to ensure the expectations of our clients are realised.
A significant number of former members have attained judicial office including appointments to the Court of Appeal, the High Court and the Circuit Bench. Many members currently sit in a part time judicial capacity.
